The Verdict

I’ve been a fan of the Broken Lizard films since I saw Super Troopers (which was legendary). I saw a preview for this movie and really wanted to check it out, but I never saw it in theaters here in Kansas City and I actually forgot about it. I really didn’t want to lump this in with another comedy movie about waiters in a restaurant called ‘Waiting…’ starring Justin Long, Dane Cook and Ryan Reynolds (which is REALLY funny) but I found it hard not to compare the two.

Oh I’m insane. You should see me without my meds. My last job, didn’t take my meds one day… an hour later, I was walking around naked with peanut butter in my hair, telling people my name was Zongo. I delivered an old lady a cup of hot water with my balls in it.

slammin-slamonThe broken lizard guys did a pretty damn good job and all around this movie was pretty kick ass! We start out in a restaurant owned by an ex boxer played by Michael Clarke Duncan. Duncan ‘The Champ’ lost a bet to a member of the Yakuza for the sum of $20,000. He then puts the squeeze on the manager to raise the money in one night or he is going to kick his ass. The manager played by Kevin Heffernan (I’m sorry I just see Farva every time I see the guy) makes a contest that motivates his staff to sell big time.

I can’t really do this film justice, you just need to see it! I rate this movie a 7/10.
