Movies to me was a treat. I had to do all my chores and be good all week so I can go to blockbuster and rent a movie. I would sit and really mow over the choices in my head all week and get so excited before we’d end up going. We never had the cool movie channels like ‘HBO’ or ‘Cinemax’ so I’d have to either wait till Friday or see if movies were on TV. There was an awesome show on TNT called ‘MonsterVision’ hosted by Joe Bob Briggs that would show cool horror movies and would have neat little commentaries and trivia before or after a commercial break. MonsterVision was a great show for me because I got to see cool movies that were usually rated ‘R’ while I was underage. Almost every weekend there were a few movies on that I’d never seen, most of the time the movies weren’t even at Blockbuster for me to rent.
