Kris Taenar Wiluan is the founder and majority owner of Citramas Group. The core business of the business group based in Batam, Riau Islands, is related to the oil and gas industry, mainly producing various pipes and oil and gas drilling support equipment. The main market is more than 70 percent of its products are exported. In addition, this business group also manages various other businesses, such as tourist areas and the film industry.

Outside of Citramas, Kris is also the founder and important shareholder of KS Energy, based in Singapore. The company’s business is supplying drilling platforms and providing oil and gas industry support services in various regions, ranging from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, to the North Sea region.

In 2009, the businessman who claimed to have almost gone bankrupt won an Entrepreneur of the Year award from Ernst & Young.

Currently there are still many opportunities. What is important is our human resources, by creating domestic employment. It can help and improve our overall economic condition. For entrepreneurs, must focus on what is done. The banking sector must be willing to support entrepreneurs.

Inter-entrepreneurs must be able to work together to build Indonesia Incorporated. Inter-company must support each other. We see in other countries, the entrepreneurs are strong because they can fill each other.

Competition is important. However, the government as a regulator must be able to act as a good referee. This competition must be able to increase added value for the community.

I convey that they must decide: want to be entrepreneurs or professionals. Most importantly, he must make changes or contributions. Not only for companies, but also for surrounding communities.
